Mastering the Landscape in Oil: A 6-Week Painting Journey

Duration: 6-weeks, 2 1/2 hours a week

Do you struggle with capturing the depth, color, and form of the landscape? Have trouble mixing the perfect greens or creating realistic trees and clouds? Join me for an in-depth, step-by-step exploration of landscape painting in oils.
In this six-week course, you'll gain a solid foundation in form, color, composition, and depth—all while completing your own stunning landscape painting. Each week, we’ll break down key aspects of landscape painting to help you build confidence and skill.
Creative Mixed Media 4/3-4/24

Join us as we explore the endless possibilities when using fluid and dry media together to make beautiful art. Through clear interactive tutorial demonstrations, Mike will teach students to use a combination of watercolor, gouache, brushes, pencils, pens and ink to create compelling compositions with subtle and bold textures. Subject matter will vary.

Journey to Drawing: Session 3

Whether you are a beginning artist or just want to improve your skills, these classes will explore the basis of all art ... drawing!
This series is designed to identify fundamental drawing skills that the participants can take and develop further on their own. Participants can take one or several sessions; each session will introduce a different aspect of drawing, such as gesture, line, shading, proportions, etc.
Subjects will include still life and landscapes. Participants will provide some of their own materials (see supply list); other materials will be provided via the $5 supply fee.
Session 3: A Matter of Perspective.

Exploring Pastels
with Michele Frantz

Learn about different pastel supports (types of papers & boards) while exploring a variety of techniques. Dive right in without needing paintbrushes, solvents, or a palette – no other medium allows you to apply rich color to support as quickly as you can with soft pastels. Supplies will be provided via the supply fee. You may bring your own supplies if you have taken the class before, and opt out of the supply fee during registration.

Watercolor Basics and Beyond 4/4-5/9 (No Class 4/18)

Explore the beautiful fluidity and transparency of watercolor. Beginners will learn basic tools and techniques. Experienced students will explore new methods, materials, and styles. Watercolor paper will be provided by the instructor.

3D Art Exploration (8-14) 4/4-4/25

Ages: 8 - 14
Get ready to unleash your creativity and explore the exciting world of 3D art in this hands-on class! Designed for young artists ages 8-14, this session will guide you through the process of transforming ideas into three-dimensional works of art.
Students will have the freedom to create their own sculptures or imaginative structures, guided by the instructor's feedback and support. Whether it's a character, animal, abstract design, or something completely unique, each child will leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
By the end of this class, students will have gained confidence in their artistic abilities and a deeper understanding of spatial awareness, all while having fun experimenting with different materials and techniques. Whether they’re a beginner or already have some artistic experience, this class is perfect for young creators looking to stretch their imaginations and dive into the world of 3D art!
