This is for registration for our Spring Pied Piper show, Lightning Thief. Please ONLY register for this program if your participant has been cast in the show!

Journey to Drawing: Session 2

Whether you are a beginning artist or just want to improve your skills, these classes will explore the basis of all art ... drawing!

This series is designed to identify fundamental drawing skills that the participants can take and develop further on their own. Participants can take one or several sessions; each session will introduce a different aspect of drawing, such as gesture, line, shading, proportions, etc.

Subjects will include still life and landscapes. Participants will provide some of their own materials (see supply list); other materials will be provided via the $5 supply fee.

Exploring Acrylics 2/27-3/20

NEW TIME: 6-7:30PM

Join artist Michele Frantz for an evening class in acrylic painting.  Quick drying, vibrant, and versatile, acrylics may be applied to a wide variety of surfaces and altered with different additives.  Students new to acrylics will learn introductory basics; experienced students will improve their skills and explore new directions. Supplies are optional, can be provided via supply fee. 

NEW: You will be prompted to indicate whether or not you need supplies. If you select yes, the supply fee will be added to your total.

For ages 15 & up.

3D Art Exploration (8-14) 3/7-3/28

Ages: 8 - 14

Get ready to unleash your creativity and explore the exciting world of 3D art in this hands-on class! Designed for young artists ages 8-14, this session will guide you through the process of transforming ideas into three-dimensional works of art.

Students will have the freedom to create their own sculptures or imaginative structures, guided by the instructor's feedback and support. Whether it's a character, animal, abstract design, or something completely unique, each child will leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art.

By the end of this class, students will have gained confidence in their artistic abilities and a deeper understanding of spatial awareness, all while having fun experimenting with different materials and techniques. Whether they’re a beginner or already have some artistic experience, this class is perfect for young creators looking to stretch their imaginations and dive into the world of 3D art!

Do you love creating comics, cartoons, and anime sketches?  Improve your character illustration skills and personal style. We will look at Eastern and Western comics, and then use hand drawing techniques to illustrate a page, just like the professionals! Supplies provided.

Sunday Sculpting 3/9-3/30

Calendar Mar 9, 2025 at 2 pm, runs for 4 weeks

Instructor and artist, Lydia Bratton, will guide this class through the start to finish of creating art through sculpture. Sculpture requires patience, perseverance, and sometimes a mindset shift to achieve desired results.

Lydia will stress the importance of trusting the process, making sculptors of all levels feel capable and confident in creating a piece they can be proud of. Students will plan and complete sculptures they can take home and enjoy.

Sculptures will be left to dry for a week, and students will return to paint their finished, dried product before taking their masterpiece home.

Drawing Skills (8-14yrs) 3/10-3/31

This class will support the improvement of fundamental drawing skills, while bringing students together for fun and creativity.  This session will focus on elements & principles of design as well as perspective. Come explore line, form, shading and texture using traditional art media.  Class may be taken multiple times through the year; lessons and subject matter will vary each session.  Media could include pencils, charcoal, colored pencils, pens, markers and pastels.  Supplies are provided via supply fee.
