The Art of Writing: Summertime Scares
with Katharine Hanifen
The Art of Writing: Summertime is a four-week Horror themed writing course. Summer: the time of year when kids spend weeks at camps, people enjoy nature, and slashers hunt down unlucky camp counselors looking for love. Throughout this course, we’ll explore why summer camps are magnets for killers, discuss our favorite pop culture summertime scares, and write our own horror for the hottest time of year.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a collection of fresh writing, peer feedback, and practical tools to continue your writing journey beyond the workshop.
Come ready to write, share, and grow.
This workshop is open to writers of all levels and genres.
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO CLASS ON 7/24!!

Alla Prima Workshop: Painting Oils in One Sitting
with Christine Raymond
Join us for a warm, beginner-friendly introduction to alla prima—the joyful “all at once” painting approach. We’ll begin with simple objects from life to learn color mixing, shape simplification, and confident brushwork. Then we’ll apply those same principles to clouds and trees in my signature landscape style, finishing with a small landscape study from a photo I provide.
Want to paint faster without sacrificing beauty? Feel stuck overworking your paintings? You’ll learn how to:
• Paint wet-into-wet with clarity
• Simplify scenes without losing atmosphere
• Mix clean sky and foliage colors
• Create depth using light and edges
• Complete a small landscape in just one afternoon
You’ll leave knowing exactly how to approach a painting from start to finish—quickly, simply, confidently.
Please note that aside from a canvas supplies will NOT be provided for this workshop. A list of recommended supplies can be found here!

You’ll learn how to create bold, eye-catching designs, that really make your stickers pop!
You’ll also discover two easy ways to make your stickers: how to create them without a cutting machine, and how to use a cutting machine for a more polished, professional look.
By the end of the class, you’ll have the skills and confidence to design, print, and create stickers for fun, gifts, or even to grow your own brand.
