Watercolor Basics and Beyond 10/31-11/21

Explore the beautiful fluidity and transparency of watercolor. Beginners will learn basic tools and techniques. Experienced students will explore new methods, materials, and styles. This class is offered throughout the year with a different approach presented in each session. A list of supplies can be found on the Classes and Camps page, or by clicking here. Watercolor paper will be provided by the instructor.

Do you love creating comics, cartoons, and anime sketches? Improve your character illustration skills and personal style. We will look at Eastern and Western comics, and then use hand drawing techniques to illustrate a page, just like the professionals! Supplies provided.

Drawing Skills (8-14)

Ages: 8 - 14
This class will support the improvement of fundamental drawing skills, while bringing students together for fun and creativity. This session will focus on elements & principles of design as well as perspective. Come explore line, form, shading and texture using traditional art media. Class may be taken multiple times through the year; lessons and subject matter will vary each session. Media could include pencils, charcoal, colored pencils, pens, markers and pastels. Supplies are provided via supply fee.

Explore using primary colors to create secondary colors and create interesting seasonal landscapes! Every season will come to life as you explore the nuances of color and shape to bring tableaus to life.

Dive into the world of dimension, texture, and form in this hands-on 3D Art Exploration class!
Perfect for curious creators of all skill levels, this dynamic two-hour class invites students to experiment with a variety of sculptural materials and techniques—such as clay, papier-mâché, wire, cardboard, and mixed media. Each class offers a new project designed to spark imagination, build foundational skills, and encourage creative problem-solving in three-dimensional space. Come ready to build, shape, and bring your ideas to life!

Zumba

Times are tough and personal wellness is more important than ever! Join instructor Chris Maulden as he leads you through a Zumba class to help you get more in touch with your body. He will use upbeat music to help forget your troubles and shake off your anxieties.
The enrollment fee for this class can be waived by drafting a letter to . The referral letter should explain how this class could help to improve your mental or physical health, and does not need to be notorized by an official or a doctor. Enrollments without a letter will still be able to register for a discounted price.

Deck the Cards: Holiday Cards, Cocoa, and Cookies with Michele

Join local artist Michele Frantz for Cards and Cocoa, Holiday card edition!
Michele will walk the group through a magical holiday scene using multimedia on card paper. Ditch the shopping trip and leave with a set of handmade cards with envelopes to give out this holiday season.
Get festive with some hot cocoa and participate in an optional cookie exchange by bringing in 12 cookies to share.
Students that register before 12/3 will get a free popcorn voucher for the Christmas Market December 5th and 6th!
All supplies are included in the registration fee.

Art of Writing: Bone-Chilling Tales

The Art of Writing: Bone-Chilling Tales is a four-week horror themed writing course. Halloween may be over, but that doesn’t mean the scares have stopped.
As the days get shorter and the nights get longer and colder, it’s time to gather around the fireplace and tell some frightening tales. In this course, we’ll explore why the most wonderful time of the year can also be the most terrifying, not just through writing but also discussing winter folklore and monsters.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a collection of fresh writing, peer feedback, and practical tools to continue your writing journey beyond the class.
Come ready to write, share, and grow.
This class is open to writers of all levels and genres.
THERE WILL BE NO CLASS NOVEMBER 27TH.
Students who register for this class before 10/16 will get a free ticket for the Factory of Fear October 17th - 25th!
