Adult Acting for the Screen

This class is designed to teach actors how to apply their acting skills to working on camera. Instructor and screen actor Amy Treat will guide and help actors improve their confidence, perfect their technique, and learn the basics of performing for the camera.
Students will develop skills such as:
Screen technique: How screen acting differs from live performance
Visual storytelling: How to work in contemporary scenes
Body positioning: How to position your body for the camera
Memorization: How to memorize lines
Improvisation: How to improvise on camera

Watercolor Loose and Expressive 2/6-2/27

This class is designed for students (beginner to intermediate) who want to explore the unique principles of watercolor: transparency, speed, & spontaneity. Classes will emphasize and demonstrate brush work, color mixing, wash techniques, value patterns, design layout, and composition. Class may be taken multiple times; subject matter will vary among a variety of landscapes, seascapes, florals, & still-life. Watercolor paper will be provided by instructor. Acrylics Basics and Beyond 2/18-3/18

Join artist Michele Frantz for a 5 lesson session in acrylic painting! Versatile and forgiving, acrylic paints may be manipulated with a wide array of techniques, applied to many different surfaces, and modified with various additives.
Students new to acrylics will learn introductory basics; experienced students will improve their skills and explore new directions. Ink and Watercolor and Gouache

In this five-week class, we will be exploring the various mediums of ink, watercolor and gouache and how you can use them together or separately. We will do a variety of subjects that are illustrative and how you can use these mediums that help create a story or a visually interesting subject.

Exploring Acrylics 2/27-3/20

NEW TIME: 6-7:30PM
Join artist Michele Frantz for an evening class in acrylic painting. Quick drying, vibrant, and versatile, acrylics may be applied to a wide variety of surfaces and altered with different additives. Students new to acrylics will learn introductory basics; experienced students will improve their skills and explore new directions. Supplies are optional, can be provided via supply fee.
NEW: You will be prompted to indicate whether or not you need supplies. If you select yes, the supply fee will be added to your total.
