Theatre Exploration for Tots (3-5)

It is never too early for a child to explore all theatre has to offer! With child development in mind, this class offers students their very first taste of theatre, while also allowing them to grow their social and emotional skills.
Through fun games, team-building exercises, and lots of movement your child will learn the basics of storytelling, grow in their communication and collaboration skills, and learn how to empathize with others. And they will do all of this while also doing what children do best: using their imagination!

Monologue Study for Young Adults (13-17)

Ages: 13 - 17
Solo performance can be frightening for those who haven't had an opportunity to grow their skills, but we have the answer!
This course is the perfect place to get more comfortable with performing monologues and owning the stage solo.
Through theatre games, activities, tailored rehearsals, and individualized feedback, students will be ready to perform solo pieces with confidence and style at our final group presentation.

Capturing a Winter Landscape in Watercolor

What does snow in watercolor look like? It’s far more than just the white of the paper!
In this four week course, students will learn how washes of color can transform your image and create wonderful landscapes.

How to Make Stickers
with Jonathan Flanders
Ready to turn your ideas into custom stickers? In this fun, hands-on 1-day workshop, you’ll learn how to design and create your own stickers from start to finish — all from home.
You’ll learn how to create bold, eye-catching designs, that really make your stickers pop!
You’ll also discover two easy ways to make your stickers: how to create them without a cutting machine, and how to use a cutting machine for a more polished, professional look.
By the end of the class, you’ll have the skills and confidence to design, print, and create stickers for fun, gifts, or even to grow your own brand.
All supplies provided via the supply fee.

The Living Figure: Oil Painting from Life

Develop your observational painting skills by working directly from a live figure model!
Students will learn to accurately observe proportion, anatomy, value, color, and edge relationships while exploring traditional oil painting techniques.
Through demonstrations and individualized instruction, participants will strengthen their understanding of painting the human form from life.
Some prior oil painting experience is recommended.

Saturday Toons! (9-12)
with Lydia Bratton
Ages: 9 - 12
Bring your original characters to life from concept to published comic strip! In this modern cartooning lab, students will learn core character design, expressive line work, and visual storytelling techniques. Working directly on digital drawing tablets (or traditional paper, based on student preference), young artists will create their own original cartoon figures and story panels.
Using cutting-edge tools like Google Gemini AI as a creative assistant, students will see their custom artwork instantly transformed into dynamic multi-panel storyboards, complete with read-aloud voice-overs and AI-generated script ideas.
Every student will leave the class with printed, full-color copies of their finished comic strips to take home!

Quilling 101: An Intensive Workshop
with Stephanie McGee
Quilling, or Paper Filigree, is the ancient art of creating designs by cutting and coiling thin strips of paper. In this intensive two-day workshop, you will learn the basic techniques and come away with a unique piece of paper art!
The first three-hour session on Saturday will introduce you to the history and basic tools and methods of this unique art form. Reading glasses are recommended for those with limited vision.
The second session on Sunday will be a concentration on techniques and more advanced tools of Quilling, Paper Filigree. We will explore techniques of different paper artists to expand your skills and understanding of this exciting art form.
Artists of any level are not only welcome but encouraged to attend!

World Building Studio: Creating Imagined Worlds

Bring an original world to life through drawing and painting!
Students will design unique characters, creatures, environments, and cultures while learning the fundamentals of visual storytelling, composition, color, and concept development.
Through guided exercises and individual feedback, each student will create a fully realized narrative artwork inspired by a world of their own imagination.
