Improv Intensive for Adults

Improv is one of the scariest and most exhilrating of the theatre arts, and it's crucial to have a safe space to grow your talents!
This class will introduce and challenge actors to utilize their creativity and expand their skills and adaptability.
Open to beginners or seasoned performers!

Quilling 101: An Intensive Workshop
with Stephanie McGee
Quilling, or Paper Filigree, is the ancient art of creating designs by cutting and coiling thin strips of paper. In this intensive two-day workshop, you will learn the basic techniques and come away with a unique piece of paper art!
The first three-hour session on Saturday will introduce you to the history and basic tools and methods of this unique art form. Reading glasses are recommended for those with limited vision.
The second session on Sunday will be a concentration on techniques and more advanced tools of Quilling, Paper Filigree. We will explore techniques of different paper artists to expand your skills and understanding of this exciting art form.
Artists of any level are not only welcome but encouraged to attend!

Acrylics Basics and Beyond

Join artist Michele Frantz for a 5 lesson session in acrylic painting!
Versatile and forgiving, acrylic paints may be manipulated with a wide array of techniques, applied to many different surfaces, and modified with various additives.
Students new to acrylics will learn introductory basics; experienced students will improve their skills and explore new directions.
Class is offered throughout the year with a different approach presented in each session.

Exploring Composition: In the Mood
with Michele Frantz
The crucial role of composition in art is to establish balance and harmony in one’s artwork, while at the same time effectively using contrast to provide interest. In this series of classes, students will explore a variety of compositional formats, and learn how to use visual elements to make these formats work.
For "In the Mood" we will be exploring the different aspects of color and how it works with the other elements of art to create mood. Each week will feature a different color scheme, or "mood".
The instructor will supply reference photos, but students are also welcome to bring their own. Students may work in any medium, but no supplies will be provided!!

Exploring Colored Pencils

Precise, clean, colorful and relaxing ... there's nothing quite like drawing with colored pencils!
In this class students will explore beautiful butterflies and the flowers they visit.

Watercolor Basics and Beyond

Explore the beautiful fluidity and transparency of watercolor.
Beginners will learn basic tools and techniques.

How to Make Stickers
with Jonathan Flanders
Ready to turn your ideas into custom stickers? In this fun, hands-on 1-day workshop, you’ll learn how to design and create your own stickers from start to finish — all from home.
You’ll learn how to create bold, eye-catching designs, that really make your stickers pop!
You’ll also discover two easy ways to make your stickers: how to create them without a cutting machine, and how to use a cutting machine for a more polished, professional look.
By the end of the class, you’ll have the skills and confidence to design, print, and create stickers for fun, gifts, or even to grow your own brand.
All supplies provided via the supply fee.
