High School Summer Series: Creative Writing

Ages: 13 - 17
For aspiring writers, this camp is a great opportunity to hone your craft! Students will explore different types of writing, from poetry to short stories, and develop their unique voice. With prompts, peer feedback, and plenty of time for writing, campers will leave with a stronger understanding of narrative techniques and their own written works ready to share.
Ink & Inspiration: A Drawing Camp
with Fletcher Burge

Ages: 8 - 12
This camp is perfect for young artists who want to improve their drawing skills! Campers will explore various drawing techniques, from sketching and shading to illustration and comic art. They’ll be inspired to create their own characters, scenes, and stories, with a focus on developing their individual artistic style.
Acrylics Basics and Beyond 8/5-8/19

Join artist Michele Frantz for a 5 lesson session in acrylic painting! Versatile and forgiving, acrylic paints may be manipulated with a wide array of techniques, applied to many different surfaces, and modified with various additives.
Students new to acrylics will learn introductory basics; experienced students will improve their skills and explore new directions. Class is offered throughout the year with a different approach presented in each session. Click here for a list of supplies. Canvases and boards will be provided by the instructor.

Drawing the Landscape!
Discover the power of shape, value and line to help you see and draw landscapes.
Whether you are a beginning artist or just want to improve your skills, these classes will explore the basis of all art ... drawing!
This series is designed to identify fundamental drawing skills that the participants can take and develop further on their own. Participants can take one or several sessions; each session will introduce a different aspect of drawing, such as gesture, line, shading, proportions, etc.
Subjects will include still life and landscapes. Participants will provide some of their own materials (see supply list); other materials will be provided via the $5 supply fee.

Exploring Acrylics 8/7-8/21
with Michele Frantz

Join artist Michele Frantz for an evening class in acrylic painting. Quick drying, vibrant, and versatile, acrylics may be applied to a wide variety of surfaces and altered with different additives. Students new to acrylics will learn introductory basics; experienced students will improve their skills and explore new directions. Supplies are provided via supply fee if needed. You may bring your own supplies if you have taken the class previously.

Watercolor Basics and Beyond 8/8-8/22

Explore the beautiful fluidity and transparency of watercolor. Beginners will learn basic tools and techniques. Experienced students will explore new methods, materials, and styles. Adventure Series: Puppetry

Ages: 5 - 7
Bring stories to life with puppetry! In this imaginative camp, young campers will create their own puppets and learn the basics of puppetry performance. Through storytelling, crafting, and performance, they will develop their creativity and fine motor skills while having fun bringing characters to life with their handmade puppets. Family and friends will be invited to the final class for a performance showcasing their skills!

Little artists will discover their creative spark in this colorful art camp! Through drawing, painting, and mixed media projects, children will learn basic art techniques while exploring their own artistic expression. With a focus on creativity and fun, young Picassos will leave with a portfolio of their masterpieces!
