Painting Flowers with Gouache

Learn how to use the paint medium gouache and how fun and versatile it can be! You will learn how to paint a variety of flowers, learning the basic lines and shapes needed to create a flower.
You will explore a few different styles and create up to three different paintings of flowers!

Sculpt and Screen: Digital Clay Camp (8-14)

Join the Sculpt & Screen: Digital Clay Camp this Spring Break!
This 5-day camp allows artists to master cutting-edge technology by using drawing tablets to create a "Digital Passport" of artwork inspired by global spring destinations (e.g., Japan, Amazon, Europe).
The class combines this digital learning with a hands-on clay sculpture project, where students design, sculpt, and paint 3D "Global Spring Relief Tile." Students will gain proficiency in both digital art software and tactile 3D techniques, taking home both a professional digital print and their finished clay masterpiece.

Middle School Melodrama

Middle School can occasionally be a place full of drama, but in this new class you can turn that drama into an acting masterpiece!
Middle School Melodrama will examine and perform scenes from melodramas and comedies! After scene study and character work, students will learn and embody outrageously captivating characters and enhance their acting skills!

Character Creation for Kids (5-8)

This imaginative class teaches young performers how to bring a character to life through acting, movement, and playful storytelling.
Each week, students explore how characters think, feel, move, and express themselves, turning simple ideas into fully realized personalities. Through theatre games, creative exercises, and guided exploration, kids will practice using their voices, bodies, and imaginations to step into someone new.
This class is designed for children with or without prior theatre experience. Every activity is welcoming, accessible, and beginner-friendly, offering gentle challenges for more confident young performers while keeping things fun and comfortable for brand-new students.

The Drawing Lab

This four-session intensive focuses on the core foundations of drawing while exploring a variety of mediums!
Students will move beyond the basics, learning how to "see" like artists and translate the 3D world onto paper. Through guided experiments in line work and value, students will see tangible improvement in their technical ability and creative confidence.

Acrylics Basics and Beyond
with Michele Frantz
Join artist Michele Frantz for a 5 lesson session in acrylic painting!
Versatile and forgiving, acrylic paints may be manipulated with a wide array of techniques, applied to many different surfaces, and modified with various additives.
Students new to acrylics will learn introductory basics; experienced students will improve their skills and explore new directions. Class is offered throughout the year with a different approach presented in each session.

Scene Study for Young Adults (13-18)
with Shelby Mejia
Ages: 13 - 18
In the scene study class, actors will take specific scenes from movies, television, or plays and apply exercises and techniques to create believable characters and performances. Actors will work with the instructor to build on foundational skills and receive feedback to improve their craft. The class will conclude with a mini presentation of scenes and/or monologues for friends and family on the last day of class.
